Alternative uses for processed Regulated Medical Waste

The article below was published on the Practice Green Health website and shows one company's innovative approach to creating alternative uses for Regulated Medical Waste (RMW).  Red Bag Solutions SSM machine sterilizes and macerates (grinds) RMW allowing for the processed end product to be recycled or  used for fuel to energy purposes if desired.  The take away is that there are financially prudent and environmentally responsible alternatives to disposing of RMW in a landfill.   Diverting and repurposing waste will become increasingly important as the landfills fill up.
