Need a Comprehensive On-Site Solution
to Document and Electronic Media Destruction?
…Waste Processing Solutions Has The Answer.
 |
The SSM150
is a compact, reliable, machine that
adapts well to the smallest locations
and typically works with existing
infrastructure.
|
 |
Multiple
types of secure materials can be
processed in one batch yielding nothing
more than unrecognizable confetti-like
material and sterile water.
|
Privacy laws, national security, and
massive conversion of older technologies make it
increasingly important to ensure complete
destruction of your sensitive materials such as:
- Paper
- Blueprints
- DVD
- Microfiche
- CD-RO/ROM/RW
- High Density Images
- Negatives and Photographs
- Magnetic Tapes
- Video Tapes
You would typically need to engage
multiple vendors and pieces of equipment to
destroy these items. However, the SSM150, a
patented waste destruction system, can destroy
them all at once. The destruction can be
immediate, onsite, and handled by your staff.
Your materials never change hands.
Waste Processing Solutions (a division of Red
Bag Solutions) located in Baltimore, Maryland
designs, engineers, manufactures and sells
equipment to cost-effectively destroy
information bearing surface media rendering it
into unreadable, recyclable particles.
Why consider the SSM150
- The system effectively processes 200
pounds of media per hour during which time
material is exposed to extensive chopping
with super-heated water. At the conclusion
of each 25-minute cycle, the media emerges
as a confetti-like substance, which is safe
for either municipal trash disposal or
available for recycling. The volume of waste
is normally reduced by 60%.
- This relatively simple process takes
place in a closed, pressurized chamber, so
no harmful emissions, dust, odors or
hazardous by-products are produced. As the
particles are captured in the accompanying
filter separator, the processed water is
flushed down the sanitary sewer.
- The SSM150 uses an integrated, simple
system that operates efficiently and is easy
to maintain and repair in field. It is
durable and works well in demanding
environments that may have high
temperatures, humidity, and vibration or
movement making it highly applicable to
sea-going and mobile installations.
- The noise level is less than 80 dB,
therefore ear protection is not required and
more importantly, the equipment can be
placed anywhere within a facility.
- The unit measures 4’ wide, 10’ long and
7’3” high requiring only 225 square feet to
effectively operate the equipment
- The total cost to process material
through the SSM150 is very competitive.
- A single piece of equipment handles all
your information destruction requirements.
- It affords the strictest level of
security. Classified information will not be
compromised due to insufficient processing,
transporting mishaps, espionage, or human
error. This machine destroys all types of
media simultaneously, and processing can be
done in either small or large batches.
- The process is controlled by its onboard
PLC, allowing for minimal operator
intervention. At the end of each cycle, a
formal report is automatically printed,
verifying cycle time and providing written
documentation for accurate record keeping.
- Each unit is equipped with its own built
in modem allowing for 24/7 remote
monitoring.
- The SSM150 is affordable and easy to
install.

Does it Meet NSA Standards?
The SSM150 is currently being marketed to
U.S. and foreign governments, military branches
and law enforcement agencies, as well as
commercial companies who need to destroy
classified media. The Company’s technology has
been tested as a method to destroy all the
various media used by NSA for stored classified
information. NSA has validated the destruction
capabilities of the SSM150.
